Leonard Webb

Leonard Webb serves as the Next Generation Scholar Program Manager for Allegany County as a part of the Maryland Business Roundtable for Education (MBRT).

 

In his role, Leonard is responsible for supporting students by helping to determine career interests; creating awareness of how high school preparation, college coursework completion and career goals connect; offering exposure to career pathways through workforce volunteer learning engagements; and preparing students for college and career through interviewing and job shadowing opportunities.

 

Leonard holds a Certification in Youth Mental Health First Aid and the DISC Assessment.  Leonard is also a certified trainer in self-defense, hostage negotiations, and workplace diversity for the Federal Bureau of Prisons.  In his free time, Leonard is an author and facilitates workshops for parents, students, and school leaders to improve school culture and increase academic success especially for historically underserved populations. He was appointed by then Governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan, to the Maryland Juvenile Justice Education Program Board in February 2022. 

 

Leonard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Sociology, as well as a minor in African American History from the University of South Florida.
