The Maryland Business Roundtable for Education (MBRT) has announced that its 2025 Annual Meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 1:30–3:30 PM at the Engineers Club of Baltimore.
This premier gathering will bring together business, education, and community leaders from across Maryland to celebrate our shared progress in shaping the future of education and workforce development. In true MBRT fashion, we will be joined by high school students from across the state who will share their career visions, success stories, and the impact MBRT programs have had on their journeys.
Guests will have the opportunity to network with influential leaders, building connections with top decision-makers and inspiring students who are ready to make their mark on Maryland’s future. The concise, impactful program will feature conversations with Maryland education champions, reflections on MBRT’s evolution and achievements, and the celebration of outstanding contributions through our annual recognition awards. Attendees can also enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments, making the most networking in one of Baltimore’s most iconic and historic venues, The Engineers Club.
Nominate now! MBRT is now accepting nominations for three prestigious annual awards recognizing exceptional leadership and commitment to education and workforce development in Maryland. The June E. Streckfus Leadership in Education Award recognized an individual who has demonstrated excellence in fostering business-educator partnerships. The Norman R. Augustine Leadership in Business Partnerships Award recognizes a visionary business leader who has led employer engagement in K-12 education. The Joyce K. Smith Leadership in Community Engagement Partnership Award celebrates a dedicated MBRT volunteer who has inspired and motivated Maryland’s youth over the past year. Nominations are being accepted through August 31, 2025, and should be submitted via email to morgan@mbrt.org with the nominee’s name, title, company, the name of the award, and a 150–200 word brief narrative explaining why you believe the individual deserves this recognition. Self-nominations welcomed.
