MBRT Welcomes Taylor Hudson as College Pathways Manager

The Maryland Business Roundtable for Education is thrilled to welcome Taylor Hudson as the College Pathways Manager with Next Generation Scholars Responsibilities for Kent County, a newly established position in the organization designed to enhance college and career readiness for students pursing a future that includes a college pathway after high school. With a deep-rooted passion for education and lifelong connection to Kent County, Hudson is eager to support students as they explore and prepare for their futures.

A proud graduate of Kent County Public Schools, Hudson returned to Kent County High School to become an English teacher, after earning her degree from Salisbury University. Following her teaching career inspiring students in the same classrooms that helped shape her future pathways, Hudson now returns for a second time, supporting as part of her statewide role the MBRT Next Generation Scholars program at Kent County High School.

Beyond the classroom, Hudson most recently expanded her professional expertise in workforce development as an Organizational Development Specialist with The Dixon Group, a global manufacturing company headquartered in Chestertown. In addition, she brings experience working with non-profit organizations and working in a collegiate setting, providing a unique perspective that bridges education and career pathways.

The MBRT College Pathways Manager role will allow Hudson to connect Maryland’s secondary schools with higher education for outcomes-based partnerships that support high school students statewide in the areas of college admissions, dual enrollment, financial aid, scholarships, and postsecondary planning. She will ensure that MBRT’s programming is aligned with best practices in education and workforce development, helping to bring business feedback directly to higher education. Meaningfully, she will coordinate MBRT’s Next Generation Scholars program in Kent County to ensure a deep understanding of the goals of the program, offering individualized college and career readiness programming, including career exploration, college application and workforce pathways.

“I hope to help students explore the wide array of options available to them after graduation,” Hudson shares. “We have a talented and motivated group of students in Kent County, and I want each of them to know that they are capable and empowered to pursue their passions—whether that’s in our local community, across Maryland, or beyond.”

When she’s not working with students, Hudson is busy raising her two sons in Chestertown, where she and her husband have made their home.

Join us in welcoming Taylor Hudson to MBRT – her passion for education and community will make a lasting impact in Kent County and across Maryland!
