Delmarva Power to Join Alumni Event

Following a successful kick off of the Alumni Program last year, MBRT invites alumni to the upcoming networking event, this time held at Salisbury University. On April 11th, from 5:30pm-7:00pm, local MBRT Alumni from Salisbury University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES), and Wor-Wic Community College will gather for food and conversation with their former coordinators, other MBRT staff and alums in the Worchester Room of The Commons on Salisbury University’s campus.

During this gathering, students will be joined by Marcus Beal, Regional Vice President of External Affairs at Delmarva Power, an Exelon company. He will share examples from his own career, such as how he started at Pepco Holdings as an intern and worked his way up, during his presentation. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about Delmarva Power, career opportunities available, as well as tips for success that they can apply to their own academic journeys.

Delmarva Power, a public utility owned by Exelon Corportation and Pepco Holdings, provide energy service to customers in Delaware and Maryland. Pepco Holding employees Phillip Barnett and Marsha Byas have close connections to the work MBRT does across the state. Barnett serves as an MBRT Board Member and Byas is a member of the Strategic Steering Committee. One of Delmarva Power’s office locations is local to Salisbury, providing a great partnership with MBRT for many years.

Alumni interested in attending this event should contact their coordinator to RSVP no later than April 4.

A special thanks to Salisbury University for hosting MBRT’s Alumni Program. If your company is interested in hosting MBRT’s Alumni for a future event, please contact tashe@mbrt.org
