The Maryland Business Roundtable for Education (MBRT) is honored announce the addition of two distinguished leaders to our Board of Directors: Joe Durham, Market President for Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., Fulton Bank, and Dr. Yolanda Wilson, President, College of Southern Maryland. Their appointments not only bring a wealth of experience and passion to our Board, but also strategically expand industry and geographic representation.

Joe Durham joins MBRT with an impressive 40-year career in financial services. As Market President at Fulton Bank, he demonstrates his dedication to fostering economic growth and building community partnerships across a multi-state region.
A Baltimore native, Joe attended Calvert Hall College High School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from Towson University. He has furthered his education through the Columbia University Graduate School of Business Executive Education Program and additional leadership programs in Anne Arundel and Harford Counties.
He is deeply committed to community service, holding various leadership positions with several organizations including Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc., and the Greater Baltimore Committee. His engagement and leadership in the Baltimore region bring added impact to our work.
Dr. Yolanda Wilson became President of the College of Southern Maryland in January 2023, making history as the first African American president in the institution’s 64-year history. With over 23 years’ experience in community college systems, Dr. Wilson has built a legacy of advancing educational access. Her work focuses on creating student-ready college cultures, implementing policies that support all students.
Dr. Wilson’s accolades are numerous, including recognition as a Phi Theta Kappa Distinguished College Administrator and participation in the prestigious Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from University of Maryland, College Park and her doctorate in education from North Carolina State University. Her dedication to education, along with her strategic vision, makes her an invaluable addition to MBRT’s Board of Directors.

The addition of both Joe Durham and Dr. Yolanda Wilson to the Board reflects MBRT’s commitment to fostering collaboration between business leaders, educators and policymakers to create a brighter future for Maryland students.
