About Me:
Joyce has been with Maryland Business Roundtable for Education (MBRT) for 10 years and serves as the Executive Assistant – Programs. Hired to support the programs, her position has evolved with responsibilities touching every aspect of our internal and external operations.
In her role, Joyce focuses on acting as the liaison between our volunteers and the educational stakeholders. This work includes matching and deploying volunteers, coordinating schedule changes, and consolidating survey and outcome data. Her activities are vital to our success because volunteers are prepared and can focus on their presentations, instead of managing the overhead required to coordinate sessions. Over the past year, her responsibilities have evolved to include aspects of communications, human resources, and payroll.
Prior to joining MBRT, Joyce navigated a variety of Maryland State agencies. She began her career with the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) in Glen Burnie. In the position, she worked with the technical support team facilitating daily operations. In her last government position, Joyce worked at the Maryland State Board of Education for 22 years. During her service, she served in a variety of roles including Regulations Coordinator. During her service, Joyce honed many of the skills that make her so vital to MBRT.
