About Me:

Education & Training

Aundra Anderson is the Next Generation Scholar program coordinator for Kent County Middle and High Schools.

Anderson has nearly a decade of experience in education. After earning her BA in American Studies from Washington College in 2008, she remained at the Chestertown institution working in the Office of Admissions. As assistant to the associate director of admissions and later as director of admissions communications, Anderson helped prospective students and families learn more about the college search and admissions process. During her nine-year tenure, she managed the admissions communications plans; developed and implemented a strategy for regional recruitment in new markets; visited high schools across the country, attended college fairs as a Washington College representative; and conducted individual and small group interviews with prospective students.

A certified group fitness instructor, Anderson has been teaching classes around Chestertown since 2009 with the intention of leading and inspiring others to achieve their fitness and wellness goals. In addition, Anderson served as coordinator of the Chestertown Tea Party Festival Street Party from 2014-2017.

Anderson resides in Chestertown, Maryland, with her husband John.
