NORTHROP GRUMMAN EXECUTIVE JOINS MARYLAND BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE FOR EDUCATION (MBRT) BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 The Maryland Business Roundtable for Education (MBRT) has announced a new board member representing long-time MBRT member company Northrop Grumman: Jay Patel, sector vice president, engineering and sciences, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems. Patel leads more than 16,000 engineers, managers, directors and contract labor personnel in all aspects of engineering, sciences, analytics and logistics execution across sector programs. He was confirmed by vote of the MBRT board at their June meeting

Patel brings a wealth of experience in strategic planning and talent development, two areas that align closely with MBRT’s mission and timely as the organization prepares to launch a new strategic plan in 2026. A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Patel is a champion for building a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture and serves as a dedicated mentor and employee resource at Northrop Grumman. 

Patel officially assumed his position on the MBRT board on June 12, 2025. .
