TOWSON, MD – MARCH 25, 2026 – The Maryland Business Roundtable for Education (MBRT) has announced the release of its 2025 Annual Report featuring the organization’s new strategic plan, “My Future. My Maryland.,” and showcasing a year of measurable statewide progress and business engagement in preparing students across the state for next steps after high school.
The sixteen-page report highlights MBRT’s capabilities and results of statewide college and career readiness programming engaging over 32,000 students in school year 2024-2025. In partnership with the Maryland Higher Education Commission, MBRT served nearly 2,000 students with the state’s Next Generation Scholars college access program in five of Maryland’s high-poverty districts. Nearly 550 graduating seniors amassed $5.5M in total financial aid awards, making college possible. Industry professional volunteers in MBRT’s Speakers Bureau logged over 3,200 volunteer hours, underscoring the organization’s work to drive meaningful partnerships between Maryland’s business community and schools, and a statewide Student Ambassador and Alumni program contributed to student achievement, retention and completion.
