The Maryland Business Roundtable for Education (MBRT) recognized 24 outstanding high school students from across Maryland as recipients of “The 24: Maryland’s Emerging Scholars” award yesterday in Annapolis. Each awardee represents their respective school district and was selected for exemplary involvement in their communities, leadership in their schools, and academic success.

The selection process awarded extra points to students who have participated in MBRT programs and demonstrated intentions of pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) career.
