What is the Technology Advisory Board?

The MBRT Technical Advisory Board (TAB) serves as the advisor to the MBRT Strategic Steering Committee on using the latest technology and approaches to inform and motivate students.

strategy The TAB reaches large numbers of students with strong messages about the benefits of careers in high growth areas, and the importance of taking the right courses to be prepared for the workplace and for life.

The TAB membership consists of a coalition of corporations and higher education institutions in Maryland committed to leading MBRT in a technology-led transformation.

What will the TAB create?

Within the MBRT Strategic Plan 2009-2011 are key technology strategies supporting each of MBRT's roles: advocate, convener, service provider.

In addition to enhancing the MBRT core technology infrastructure, projects have been identified to innovate each area:

In 2010, the TAB is working to align with the goals of Maryland Governor O'Malley's STEM Task Force Report, and the recommendation for the creation of Maryland's STEM Innovation Network.

How can organizations get involved with the TAB

MBRT's member organizations are investing
in the TAB in the following ways:

    1. Become a member of MBRT
    2. Serve on the TAB
    3. Provide financial and in-kind support of the TAB Plan
