Welcome to the official launch of the 2012-13 Maryland Scholars Speakers Bureau! We are excited about our plans and improvements for the fall, and invite you – and others you know – to sign up, or renew your commitment for the coming school year today at www.mbrttraining.org. What’s new this year?

-We’ve expanded: Several middle schools will be added to the program, and even more volunteers are needed!

-We’ve improved efficiencies: Handouts for your presentations are now included in the BeWhatiWantToBe magazine.

This year, we must recruit and retain 3,000 volunteers willing to enter classrooms in order to ensure that every 8th and/or 9th grade student in the state is reached.Live training sessions are being added to the system daily, and the Online Refresher Training course for veteran speakers will be launched in early September. To ensure that your voice is included on the Bureau this year, you MUST update your account by clicking on https://www.mbrttraining.org today! For those who are new to the Bureau, please create an account using that same link today! We can’t do it without you! Please invite others to join us by downloading and sharing the recruitment flyer above. We look forward to working with you again in the fall to make Maryland Scholars even stronger and to reach more students.

Sincerely, MBRT Outreach Team!
